YS Tang is a Malaysian classical guitarist, performer, and music educator. He holds a Master’s degree in Music Performance and was awarded scholarships and a teaching assistantship during his studies.
An active performer, Mr. Tang has presented solo recitals and toured with his recital programmes in major cities across Malaysia as well as in Singapore. His musical interests encompass a wide range of classical guitar repertoire, with a particular interest in Baroque music and the rich traditions of Spanish and Latin American guitar music.
Mr. Tang has collaborated with a number of established musicians and ensembles, including the Bachfest Malaysia Orchestra, the Wicked Music People, and Versus Music Ensemble. Through these collaborations, as well as his solo and chamber performances, he continues to explore the versatility of the classical guitar in different musical settings.
Beyond the concert stage, Mr. Tang is actively involved in promoting the classical guitar to wider audiences through educational and community outreach programmes. He has also been invited to give masterclasses and lectures on various guitar-related topics, sharing his knowledge and experience with students, educators, and fellow musicians.
His involvement in the wider music community extends to adjudicating competitions and festivals, providing him with opportunities to work with and encourage young musicians from different backgrounds.
Through his work as a performer and educator, Mr. Tang remains committed to presenting the classical guitar to new audiences, supporting young musicians through the development and appreciation of the classical guitar in Malaysia.
YS Tang（邓老师 - 音乐演奏系硕士）是一位活跃于马来西亚的古典吉他演奏家、音乐教育家。作为一名活跃的演奏家，邓老师经常参与公开音乐会及独奏演出，并曾携独奏音乐会巡演，在马来西亚多个主要城市以及新加坡演出。他的音乐兴趣涵盖广泛的古典吉他曲目，尤其对巴洛克音乐，以及西班牙和拉丁美洲丰富的吉他音乐传统深感兴趣。
YS Tang 曾与多位杰出音乐家及不同乐团合作，包括马来西亚巴赫音乐节管弦乐团、Wicked Music People 以及 Versus Music Ensemble。通过这些合作，以及独奏和室内乐演出，他不断探索古典吉他在不同音乐形式与演出环境中的多样性。
