This guitar is loud and responsive. Basses are very deep and treble are punchy. Playability is very good. Must test it out to appreciate the quality of this early 80s Matsuoka.
This is a high quality student range guitar. Although not a full-solid material, you can still expect very high sound quality, responsive and great volume; in fact, comparable to full-solid quality of higher priced guitars.
Other than a minor scratch, the guitar is in very good condition.
About Ryoji Matsuoka
Ryoji Matsuoka workshop produced many high quality but budget friendly guitars. They produced OEM models for Fana corp, Aranjuez (Kohno made some of the tops while Matsuoka made the body). The model numbering system of Matsuoka workshop changed a few times over the years, and the older 70s or early 80s numbers without 'M' is at much higher quality than those models with 'M'. They also produced replicas of Hausers, labeled as MH, and Ramirez, labelled as MR.
